About This Cigar:

The Ashton Classic 898 is a cigar we have been recommending to our customers since 1985! With a golden-blond Connecticut Shade wrapper (actually grown in Connecticut) and Dominican binder and fillers that have been aged for at least 3 years, this blend is aptly named – it is definitely a “classic!”

About Ashton:

In 1985, Robbie Levin launched Ashton Cigars, and Georgetown Tobacco is proud to have been the very first Ashton account.

Made by Arturo Fuente, Ashton cigars are some of the finest in the world using only premium, aged tobaccos. Over the years, they have expanded their selection to include a depth and range in blends to satisfy every palate.

Using beautiful Connecticut shade wrappers grown in Connecticut, the Classic and the Cabinet series are a perfect fit for those who appreciate a smooth, mild smoke.

If you’re looking for something more bold, try the Ashton Maduro or a Virgin Sun Grown (VSG). Ashton also makes an incredible cigar with Nicaraguan tobacco, the Symmetry. If it’s a special moment, the Ashton Estate Sun Grown (ESG) uses a truly special Dominican wrapper that no one has perfected like the Fuentes.

Whatever your preference, we hope you’ll be able to share these cigars with great friends old and new…

Ashton Classic

For over 30 years, the Ashton Classic has been one of the first cigars we reach for when someone first walks through our doors. A golden-blond Connecticut Shade wrapper envelops a premium recipe of Dominican binder and filler tobaccos aged for three to four year minimums. A perfect introduction for the beginner, or a nice mild smoke when you want to give your palate a break from all the heavier cigars dominating our humidors today, the Classic line is a staple and with good reason.
