About This Pipe:

This Meerschaum Pipe- Man With Beret (is he a sailor? a chef? or does he just look cool in his hat?) was one we chose because his face was so well done. It can be tough to find a Meerschaum today where facial details are well executed, and he was so handsome we had to bring him back to the store— and perhaps that’s why you’ll bring him to your home!

We have been working with Paykoc Importers for decades, as they are always able to source excellent pipes in Turkey despite a decreasing number of craftsmen and increased challenges of sourcing great Meerschaum.

About Meerschaum Pipes:

Meerschaum is a silicate– a very special mineral composed of compressed, fossilized shells of sea creatures that have developed in the clay, sand, and gravel plains in Eskisehir, Turkey. The craftsmen who carve these pipes are praised for their artistry, which is a traditional craft dating back to the 1600s. As for the quality of the smoke, meerschaum is exceptionally porous, absorbing much of the tar and nicotine from tobacco leaving you with a pure taste and a cool smoke. We hand select each of the meerschaum pipes we carry to ensure quality and craftsmanship.
