What makes the Davidoff Royal Release Salomones special?

The Davidoff Royal Release Salomones takes Davidoff’s golden standard for complexity and quality and goes above and beyond with one of their most illustrious and exclusive cigars.

The flavorful and smooth Aromatica Dominicana wrapper was developed specifically for a cigar deemed “royal” and is used exclusively on the Royal Release cigars. An Ecuadoran Habano binder and Dominican fillers round out the blend, with each component hand-selected. Even the seeds are chosen to be Royals before planting. From seed to finished cigar takes ten years for the Royal Release, and the Royal tobacco bales undergo meticulous aging for eight years before rolling.

The rollers themselves are hand-selected as well. Only Davidoff’s eight Master Torcedores, each with a minimum of 15 years of experience, are permitted to roll these exquisite cigars.

This is a truly special cigar for the most special moments. If you’re looking for a gift to impress, this is it. The stunning blue lacquer boxes and certificate of authenticity that accompany these cigars will leave a lasting impression, almost as impressive as the experience of enjoying these cigars themselves. The beautiful Salomones figurado shape delivers a minimum of two hours of smoking time, making it one of the most generous experiences in the portfolio.

What does our staff think of the Davidoff Royal Release Salomones?

“The Royal Release is exceptional for so many reasons, but it’s the actual experience of enjoying it that makes it stand out for me. That rich flavor and the format of both shapes really force you to slow down and pay attention. Any cigar that can do that, in my opinion, truly is special.”

Who is the Davidoff Royal Release Salomones best suited for?

Don’t let the term “full bodied” scare you off of any particular blend. Body does not equal strength. When we refer to body, we’re talking about the richness, mouthfeel, and perhaps the amount of spice in a blend. These blends are often best enjoyed after a great meal, when you can truly appreciate the complex character of the cigar.

Consider these factors before selecting any cigar: What’s the occasion? Who will you be with? What kind of mood are you in? Have you eaten? What will you be drinking with the cigar? Putting some thought into those questions will guide you towards the blends that best complement that moment in time.

What can you tell me about Davidoff?

Blending Caribbean passion with Swiss precision, Davidoff has been creating exceptional cigars in the Dominican Republic since 1991. No cigar maker pays more meticulous attention to every detail of the manufacturing process, from seed to finished cigar. Of the 225,000 seeds that come from a single tobacco plant, only 10% make it through Davidoff’s quality control. Each leaf undergoes weighing before rolling to ensure every blend contains the exact same proportion of ingredients. Davidoff’s cigar rollers must have ten years of experience before they can work on the White Label cigars. The white band is the difference.
