What makes the Davidoff Signature 2000 special?

The Davidoff Signature 2000 is one of Davidoff’s most popular cigars, so popular that the brand estimates someone in the world lights one every 25 seconds. An elegant cigar that is mild yet full of flavor, the 2000 is the perfect choice for newcomers and aficionados alike.

What does our staff think of the Davidoff Signature 2000?

John F., Tobacconist at Georgetown Tobacco, team member since 1998

“It’s all a choice, but for me I prefer a cigar that complements as well as contrasts my beverage, meaning neither one overpowers but instead enhances the other. I often enjoy coffee, tea, or a complex red wine, and the Signature line performs well with any of those choices.”

Who is the Davidoff Signature 2000 best suited for?

Convention dictates that mild cigars are great for beginners, or as something to enjoy in the morning. That said, we do not care much for convention.

Consider these factors before selecting any cigar: What is the occasion? Who will you be with? What kind of mood are you in? Have you eaten? What will you be drinking with the cigar? Putting some thought into those questions will guide you toward the blends that best complement that moment.

What can you tell me about Davidoff?

Blending Caribbean passion with Swiss precision, Davidoff has been creating exceptional cigars in the Dominican Republic since 1991. No cigar maker pays more meticulous attention to every detail of the manufacturing process, from seed to finished cigar. Of the 225,000 seeds that come from a single tobacco plant, only 10% make it through Davidoff’s quality control. Each leaf undergoes weighing before rolling to ensure every blend contains the exact same proportion of ingredients. Davidoff’s cigar rollers must have ten years of experience before they can work on the White Label cigars. The white band is the difference.

Why does Georgetown Tobacco carry the Davidoff Signature line?

Georgetown Tobacco was among the first retailers in the United States to be named a Davidoff Appointed Merchant in 1991, a relationship that reflects more than three decades of shared standards: deep product knowledge, meticulous quality control, and a genuine commitment to the customer. That partnership means when you order Davidoff from Georgetown Tobacco, you are ordering from people who know this portfolio the way many retailers do not.

FAQ: Frequently asked questions about the Davidoff Signature 2000

+Is the Davidoff Signature 2000 a good choice for someone newer to premium cigars?

Yes. The Signature 2000 is a mild cigar, and is often our first choice for someone new to cigars. That said, the Signature blend rewards curiosity at any level of experience. When in doubt, call us and we will help you find the right starting point.

+What pairs well with the Davidoff Signature 2000?

We like to keep it simple. If you like the cigar and you like the beverage, they likely go well together. That said, there is both art and science to pairing beverages and cigars, and our team of tobacconists has pooled their collective knowledge to create this comprehensive pairing guide.

+Is the Davidoff Signature 2000 worth the price?

This is such a subjective and personal question to answer. What we can say is this: we think so, or we would not carry it. We carefully consider price along with many other factors before deciding what to bring into our humidors. While it may not fit every budget, we believe the character and construction of this blend will be appreciated by many of our customers.

+How long does it take to enjoy a Davidoff Signature 2000?

Size and shape play key roles in how long you will enjoy your cigar. While factors such as pace, tobacco density, and environmental conditions can affect burn time, certain cigar shapes generally require more time than others. See our guide on how long cigars last based on common cigar shapes, so you can choose the right cigar for the amount of time you have to enjoy it.

+How should I store this cigar?

Cigars are happiest in conditions that resemble the tropical regions where they were made: warm, humid, and consistent. For long-term storage, we recommend a quality cedar-lined humidor maintained at approximately 69 to 72 percent relative humidity and around 68 to 70 degrees Fahrenheit. Keep cigars away from direct sunlight and sudden temperature changes. With proper care, a well-maintained cigar will only improve with age.
