Gawith, Hoggarth & Co.’s Ennerdale Flake is a true classic of the Lakeland tradition. The blend begins with Virginias from Brazil, Zimbabwe, and Malawi, complemented by sun-cured Malawi tobacco and Malawi Burley for added depth and character.
What truly sets Ennerdale apart is its distinctive casing of almond, fruit, and vanilla. These flavors complement the natural sweetness of the Virginias while giving the blend an unmistakable aromatic character.
Availability of the Gawith tobaccos is so infrequent, we are limiting them to one per type, per customer so more people have a chance to enjoy them.
Both Samuel Gawith and Gawith Hoggarth & Co can trace their origins back to Thomas Harrison (grandfather of Samuel Gawith the first) and Thomas Brocklebank, who set up a tobacco and snuff business in Kendal back in 1792.
While remaining separate brands, Gawith & Hoggarth acquired Samuel Gawith in 2015 and continue to use some of the oldest operating machinery in the industry.
