“Ligero” refers the to the top priming of the leaves on the tobacco plant and, as such, is the strongest leaf of the plant. Many companies use Ligero to add strength to their blends, helping add to the cigar’s complexity. La Flor Dominicana’s Double-Ligero (DL) literally doubles-up on the Ligero tobacco, creating one of the strongest cigars in the industry, however, wraps it beautifully in an Ecuador grown Sumatra wrapper for incredible flavor behind the strength.
