What makes the Paul Garmirian “PG” 25th Anniversary- Connoisseur special?

The Paul Garmirian “PG” 25th Anniversary- Connoisseur is a classic toro shape with which to enjoy this celebratory blend.

The 25th Anniversary blend, first introduced in 2015, features a beautiful Oscuro Maduro wrapper requiring nine extra months of fermentation, surrounding four complex fillers and a barrel-aged Dominican binder.

With each milestone anniversary, the Garmirians have raised the ante in boldness and complexity. For those who enjoy a full-bodied blend, this is an excellent choice.

What does our staff think of the Paul Garmirian “PG” 25th Anniversary- Connoisseur?

“Of all of Paul’s blends, the 25th Anniversary Short Robusto is the one I enjoy the most often. It’s full bodied but not overpowering. The construction is always superb.”

Who is the Paul Garmirian “PG” 25th Anniversary- Connoisseur best suited for?

Don’t let the term “full bodied” scare you off of any particular blend. Body does not equal strength. When we refer to body, we’re talking about the richness, mouthfeel, and perhaps the amount of spice in a blend. These blends are often best enjoyed after a great meal, when you can truly appreciate the complex character of the cigar.

Consider these factors before selecting any cigar: What’s the occasion? Who will you be with? What kind of mood are you in? Have you eaten? What will you be drinking with the cigar? Putting some thought into those questions will guide you towards the blends that best complement that moment in time.

What can you tell me about Paul Garmirian “PG” Cigars?

Paul Garmirian wrote the book on cigars, literally. Published in 1990, The Gourmet Guide to Cigars is based on seven years of research, much of which was conducted here at Georgetown Tobacco. Soon after, we launched P.G.’s cigars in our store. Blended with Davidoff’s master blenders, Henke Kelner and Eladio Diaz, P.G.’s cigars are produced at the Davidoff Occidental cigar factory.

With an exceptional commitment to using only aged, quality tobacco and a further commitment to ensuring that his cigars are never on backorder, P.G. is the definition of a boutique cigar that withstands the test of time. You can now read the full story of P.G. in his memoir, The Road to Cigars.

Why does Georgetown Tobacco carry Paul Garmirian “PG” Cigars?

Georgetown Tobacco was proud to launch P.G.’s first line of cigars, the Gourmet Series, from our store back in 1990. Having been a friend and customer since 1965, Paul spent many Saturday afternoons here while researching his book that started it all, The Gourmet Guide to Cigars. Made with impeccable quality standards and an emphasis on aged tobaccos, P.G.’s cigars are among the best to ever come out of the Dominican Republic, if not anywhere.
