The Paul Garmirian “PG” Artisan’s Selection- No. 2 is a classic toro shape in which to enjoy this smooth, light, and yet complex blend.

P.G. knocked it out of the park with this blend, featuring Dominican tobaccos and a Connecticut Shade wrapper grown in Ecuador.

Who is the Paul Garmirian “PG” Artisan’s Selection- No. 2 best suited for?

Convention dictates that mild cigars are great for beginners, or as something to enjoy in the morning. That said, we don’t care much for convention.

Consider these factors before selecting any cigar: What’s the occasion? Who will you be with? What kind of mood are you in? Have you eaten? What will you be drinking with the cigar? Putting some thought into those questions will guide you towards the blends that best complement that moment in time.

What can you tell me about Paul Garmirian “PG” Cigars?

Paul Garmirian wrote the book on cigars, literally. Published in 1990, The Gourmet Guide to Cigars is based on seven years of research, much of which was conducted here at Georgetown Tobacco. Soon after, we launched P.G.’s cigars in our store. Blended with Davidoff’s master blenders, Henke Kelner and Eladio Diaz, P.G.’s cigars are produced at the Davidoff Occidental cigar factory.

With an exceptional commitment to using only aged, quality tobacco and a further commitment to ensuring that his cigars are never on backorder, P.G. is the definition of a boutique cigar that withstands the test of time. You can now read the full story of P.G. in his memoir, The Road to Cigars.

Why does Georgetown Tobacco carry Paul Garmirian “PG” Cigars?

Georgetown Tobacco was proud to launch P.G.’s first line of cigars, the Gourmet Series, from our store back in 1990. Having been a friend and customer since 1965, Paul spent many Saturday afternoons here while researching his book that started it all, The Gourmet Guide to Cigars. Made with impeccable quality standards and an emphasis on aged tobaccos, P.G.’s cigars are among the best to ever come out of the Dominican Republic, if not anywhere.
