Savinelli Pipes – Elita Sandblasted (409)

About This Pipe:

The Savinelli Elita puts the 409 shape front and center—a handsome straight Dublin with a gently tapered bowl and rounded shank that gives it a clean, distinctive profile.

This version is finished in a deep, smoky stain and a rugged sandblast that brings out the natural character and texture of the briar. A tigereye-inspired acrylic accent adds a warm touch of color before transitioning to the classic black stem.

Traditional in shape but with plenty of personality, the Elita 409 is an especially handsome choice for anyone who appreciates the feel and character of a well-executed sandblast.

About Savinelli Pipes:

The Savinelli story started in 1876 when Achille Savinelli Sr. opened one of the first stores in the world exclusively selling smoking articles, in the very center of Milan at via Orefici 2, near the famous Piazza Duomo. The small shop, which is still at its original location, soon became a meeting place where passionate smokers could exchange opinions and discuss experiences.

It was there that Achille Sr. began designing pipes, which he would then have made by artisans in the Varese district, just north of Milan. Contemporarily to the opening of the shop in via Orefici, Savinelli Sr.’s brother and sister moved to Genoa to open their own pipe store in Galleria Mazzini, which obtained its own faithful clientele and further established the Savinelli name.

Savinelli is now run by Achille’s great-grandson, Giancarlo, who focuses on modernizing the company while honoring the family tradition.
