The ST Dupont Limited Edition Declaration of Independence lighter is an exclusive for the United States. Paying homage to the birth of America with a modern take on the American flag, this iconic Line 2 soft-flame lighter is an elegant way to honor our history.

ST Dupont master craftsmen combine rich, red stripes and bright, sparkling blue stars in Dupont’s iconic natural lacquer highlighting the engraved year the Declaration of Independence was signed, 1776.

The lighter features intricate goldsmith engravings reminiscent of patriotic bunting on the cap and sides of the lighter creating a striking and modern tribute. The cap is adorned with the S.T. Dupont logo and the ignition roller is engraved with twenty-four grooved lines to enhance the grip.

A smooth strike of the roller ignites a wide, two-sided flame perfect for lighting your favorite cigars, and of course features ST Dupont’s trademark “cling” sound upon opening.

Only 176 of these lighters were made, and each lighter is numbered. Packaged in a stunning black lacquered box featuring an engraving of the Declaration of Independence..

Shortly afterwards, in 1952, the first luxury gas lighter was developed: the “D57”. This technical revolution offered the unique ability to adjust the intensity of the flame using a little lever on the burner.

From their factory in the French Alps, S.T. Dupont completes each lighter with 40-70 different hand processes. Starting with solid blocks of brass, each lighter is finished with either Chinese lacquer or precious metals. They are truly unique pieces created to be enjoyed by generations.
