Davidoff Grand Cru No. 3

What makes the Davidoff Grand Cru No. 3 special?

The Davidoff Grand Cru No. 3 is a beautiful mild blend in a perfect corona shape. The Grand Cru series was inspired by Zino Davidoff’s analogy of wine to cigars, a comparison the Georgetown Tobacco team often uses when explaining the intricacies of cigar making.

The Grand Cru uses the same three Dominican tobaccos as the Signature line, specifically Olor, San Vicente, and Piloto, but in different proportions. The blend offers a bit more body than the Signature series along with a great deal of complexity, while remaining smooth throughout. It is a great choice for those new to premium cigars, as well as for connoisseurs wanting something easy and refined on the palate.

What does our staff think of the Davidoff Grand Cru No. 3?

“Chardonnay or Burgundy? How about a rosé? The Grand Cru is a perfect compromise between the mellow Signature and the full-throated Maduro. A gentle flavor combined with a little spice, zing, and tang that offer just enough complexity all make this a cigar that I enjoy any time of day.”

Who is the Davidoff Grand Cru No. 3 best suited for?

Convention dictates that mild cigars are great for beginners, or as something to enjoy in the morning. That said, we do not care much for convention.

Consider these factors before selecting any cigar: What is the occasion? Who will you be with? What kind of mood are you in? Have you eaten? What will you be drinking with the cigar? Putting some thought into those questions will guide you toward the blends that best complement that moment.

What can you tell me about Davidoff?

Blending Caribbean passion with Swiss precision, Davidoff has been creating exceptional cigars in the Dominican Republic since 1991. No cigar maker pays more meticulous attention to every detail of the manufacturing process, from seed to finished cigar. Of the 225,000 seeds that come from a single tobacco plant, only 10% make it through Davidoff’s quality control. Each leaf undergoes weighing before rolling to ensure every blend contains the exact same proportion of ingredients. Davidoff’s cigar rollers must have ten years of experience before they can work on the White Label cigars. The white band is the difference.
