What makes the Padrón Limited Edition PB 99- Maduro special?

The Padrón Limited Edition PB 99- Maduro is the newest limited release from Padrón.

We have been receiving them consistently enough that we are currently offering them by the box or in Georgetown Tobacco 5-packs.

The blend is unique and quite full-bodied. This is a big cigar for Padrón, with a 60 ring gauge and 6 and three-quarter inches in length. Like its PB 97 sibling, this is one of the few Padrón cigars not made with a box press.

If you’re a fan of Padrón, the PB 97- Maduro is one you do not want to miss.

What does our staff think of the Padrón Limited Edition PB 99- Maduro?

David U., Tobacconist at Georgetown Tobacco, team member since 2023

“There are good cigars, and then there are GOOD cigars! The PB is a knockout from beginning to end. Get ready for some power, and you’ll want the time to savor every inch. Pair it with a barrel aged Tequila, and you’re in for a really memorable night.”

Who is the Padrón Limited Edition PB 99- Maduro best suited for?

Don’t let the term “full bodied” scare you off of any particular blend. Body does not equal strength. When we refer to body, we’re talking about the richness, mouthfeel, and perhaps the amount of spice in a blend. These blends are often best enjoyed after a great meal, when you can truly appreciate the complex character of the cigar.

Consider these factors before selecting any cigar: What’s the occasion? Who will you be with? What kind of mood are you in? Have you eaten? What will you be drinking with the cigar? Putting some thought into those questions will guide you towards the blends that best complement that moment in time.

What can you tell me about Padrón?

The Padrón name has become synonymous with honor, integrity, and great cigars. Founded in 1964, José Orlando Padrón set out to create the cigars he appreciated in his native Cuba. Over 60 years later, Padrón has become one of the most respected brands in the industry.

The Padrón family understands the significance of time. They deliver only the finest handcrafted cigars with the flavor of the Cuban heritage out of which the Padrón recipe was born. Their primary mission is the exceptional quality of their product, not the quantity produced.

Why does Georgetown Tobacco carry Padrón?

Georgetown Tobacco was one of the first accounts in the United States to carry Padrón. Beyond the exceptional quality and consistency of their cigars, the Padrón family’s genuine commitment to honor and integrity make them exceptional partners. The Padróns are stalwart supporters of our industry and brick-and-mortar retail.

FAQ: Frequently asked questions about the Padrón Limited Edition PB 99- Maduro

+Is the Padrón Limited Edition PB 99- Maduro a good choice for someone newer to premium cigars?

Maybe… we generally recommend customers begin their cigar journey with mild to medium-bodied cigars. That said, if you enjoy bold flavors, take your coffee black, or relish a great single malt, a full-bodied cigar might be exactly what best suits your palate. Just be sure you’ve had something to eat first (seriously)… so the strength that often comes with a full-bodied cigar isn’t overwhelming.

+What pairs well with the Padrón Limited Edition PB 99- Maduro?

We like to keep it simple. If you like the cigar and you like the beverage, they likely go well together. That said, there is both art and science to pairing beverages and cigars, and our team of tobacconists has pooled their collective knowledge to create this comprehensive pairing guide.

+Is the Padrón Limited Edition PB 99- Maduro worth the price?

This is such a subjective and personal question to answer. What we can say is this: we think so, or we would not carry it. We carefully consider price along with many other factors before deciding what to bring into our humidors. While it may not fit every budget, we believe the character and construction of this blend will be appreciated by many of our customers.

+How long does it take to enjoy a Padrón Limited Edition PB 99- Maduro?

Size and shape play key roles in how long you will enjoy your cigar. While factors such as pace, tobacco density, and environmental conditions can affect burn time, certain cigar shapes generally require more time than others. See our guide on how long cigars last based on common cigar shapes, so you can choose the right cigar for the amount of time you have to enjoy it.

+How should I store this cigar?

Cigars are happiest in conditions that resemble the tropical regions where they were made: warm, humid, and consistent. For long-term storage, we recommend a quality cedar-lined humidor maintained at approximately 69 to 72 percent relative humidity and around 68 to 70 degrees Fahrenheit. Keep cigars away from direct sunlight and sudden temperature changes. With proper care, a well-maintained cigar will only improve with age.
